Lucy Pierce, 81


West Newfield, ME — Mrs. Lucy Pierce, 81, of West Newfield, Maine, formerly of Beverly, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Massarella) Bussone. She was the beloved wife of John Pierce, and together they were married for 61 years. Lucy was especially devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking for them. She enjoyed gardening, growing and canning vegetables with her husband. In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her children, Diana Landers and her husband, Vincent, of North Andover, Rosemary Pierce of Middleton, Michael Pierce and his wife, Wanda, of Danvers, and John Pierce and his wife, Terri, of Beverly; her grandchildren, Cheryl, Suzanne, Sean, Scott, Melissa, Jonathan, Paul, Michael, Danielle, Lyndsay, Stephanie, and Jessica; her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Rose, Dylan, Chase, Ava, Abigail, Max, Bella, and Lilah; her brothers, Louis, Robert and Phil Bussone; her sisters, Mary Spear, Antoinette “Peta” Kemmer and Jennie MacKenzie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Lucy was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas, Armond, Vincent, Frank, and Charles Bussone.
