Donald A. Foster, 80


Manchester-by-the-Sea — Mr. Donald A. Foster, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 17, he was 80. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Marion (Shay) Foster. A “tin can sailor,” Donald served honorably in the Navy during the Korean War. Returning home, Donald found work first as a truck driver for the Brady company delivering race horses around the country and then at Bomack Labs. He was retired from Brown’s Market in Manchester and in earlier years enjoyed golfing. An active member of the American Legion Amaral-Bailey Post 113 in Manchester, Donald served as past commander. He is survived by his two brothers, Jeremiah G. Foster and his wife, Marie, of Beverly and John “Jack” Foster and his late wife, Frances, of Peabody; as well as three nieces and two nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 62 School St., Manchester, Monday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Burial will be in North Beverly Cemetery. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
