Beverly, MA — Sandra E. DeSantis, 74, a longtime resident of Beverly, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Beverly Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 22, 1940, in Swampscott, daughter of the late Ludlow and Lillian (Tirrell) Berkeley. Sandy was predeceased by James W O'Neill II and was the wife of Ronald M. DeSantis of Peabody. Sandy is survived by her three children, James W. and wife, Deborah (Tranos) O'Neill, of Danvers, Joseph M. and Linda (Breau) O'Neill of Beverly, and Kelly (O’Neill) and Greg Robinson of Ayer.
Sandy was a devoted and much-loved grandmother to Michael, Robert and Jennifer O’Neill of Beverly and Leah and James Robinson of Ayer, Mass. Sandy is also survived by her siblings, Ludlow J. and wife, Carol Berkeley, of Boxford and her sister, Linda (Berkeley) and husband, Ernest Leblanc, of Royalston.
Sandy found happiness in her faith, grandchildren and her much-loved feline, Sugar, who has found a new home with Sandy’s daughter.
