Swampscott, MA — Mildred Arlene "Mimi" (Tarlow) Shapiro, 74, of Swampscott, and formerly of Brockton and Chelsea, entered into rest on July 7, 2014.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joel Shapiro; devoted mother of Lynn Zabar and her husband, Marc, of Swampscott, and Seth Shapiro and his wife, April, of Wrentham; loving sister of William Tarlow and his wife, Roberta, of Peabody; cherished grandmother of Julie Zabar, Elana Zabar, Maya Shapiro, and Jared Shapiro; dear cousin of William Brudnick and Sandra Heller; and niece of Martha Brudnick
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington St., Canton, will be on Thursday, July 10, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Plymouth Rock Cemetery, Pearl St., Brockton, Mass. Her memorial observance will be held following the service until 9 p.m., and on Friday, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the home of Seth and April. The family will also receive visitors on Saturday, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the home of Lynn and Marc.
