Mary E. (Egan) O'Beirne, 98


Topsfield — Mrs. Mary Ellen (Egan) O’Beirne passed away Saturday at the Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield. She was 98. A former Beverly resident she was born in Dedham, daughter of the late Ellen (Kelly) and Thomas Egan. Beloved wife of the late James J. O’Beirne, she was a devoted mother of Jay G. O’Beirne and his wife Betty of Winchester, Marie E. Knudsen and her husband Carl of Topsfield, Lois A. Brennan and her husband John of Bridgewater, NH, Peter J. OBeirne and his wife Mary of Manchester, Paul T. O’Beirne and his wife Cindy of Ipswich and the late Brian J. O’Beirne and his late wife Beverly. Mary is further survived by her 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and her loving niece Nancy Flynn and her husband Jack of Mashpee; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Katherine Sullivan, Edward and Thomas Egan.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will be celebrated for Mary in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly on Tuesday, December 18th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held in the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly on Monday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Beverly.
