Deltona, Fla. — Robert F. Conner, age 85, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Robert was a World War II Navy veteran, retired from Salem State College as a refrigeration maintenance technician for the ice rink and sports complex.
Robert was a excellent carpenter who enjoyed making furniture and rocking chairs for his grandkids.
Robert was the husband of the late Rita Conner and is survived by his one daughter, Kathleen (Bert) Connolly; two sons, Kerry Conner and his fiancé, Nancy Dasaro and Kevin Conner; sister, Betty Gerber and sister-in-law, Shirley Conner. He was the grandfather of Eric (Mary) Connolly, Scott (Renee) Connolly, Allison (James) Cassidy, Kerriann (Marty) Miserindino, Ashley (Mike) Adessa and Brendan Conner; great-grandfather of Austin, Camryn, Jake, Luke and Tyler Connolly, Noella and Millie Miserindino, Conner and Regan Cassidy. Robert was pre-deceased by his brother, James Conner.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as a great friend to all, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 18, from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, Fla., where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Military Honors.
