Barbara Ann Emmons, 82


Boxford, MA — Born in Flushing, N.Y., Feb. 25, 1932, Barbara passed away June 4, 2014 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Deighton (Deke) Emmons of 62 years. Along with her husband, she leaves behind her four loving children, Barbara Findeiss of Tulsa, Okla., Deighton Emmons, Jr. of Kamuela, Hawaii, Christopher Emmons of Yarmouth, Maine and Romilly Emmons of Salem, N.H. She also leaves behind her brother, Arnold Wood of Swampscott, Mass., as well as nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was raised in Marblehead, Mass., where she was an active member of the Pleon and Corinthian Yacht Clubs. She was a graduate of Abbot Academy and attended the Parsons School of Design. Her great loves were her family, her gardens and her knitting. She was an artist, avid golfer and a member of Tedesco Country Club. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
