Meredith H. Poor


Wenham — Meredith H. Poor died peacefully on June 24, 2013, surrounded with love from family and a dear friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond J. Poor of Wenham, with whom she shared fifty three years of marriage. Meredith also leaves her daughter, Marilyn Gifford of Swampscott; her sons, Mark J. Poor and his wife, Sheryl, of Manchester, N.H., and Jeffrey R. Poor and his wife, Anne, of Peabody. She also leaves her twin sister, Marilyn Worth and her brother, Robert Holbrook, both of Vermont; and many nieces and nephews. A woman of impeccable taste in fashion, Meredith loved volunteering and working at the Hobbs House Boutique in Wenham. She was an active member of the Wenham Village Improvement Association and served as a board member for many years. Meredith will be remembered as a gracious, elegant lady whose numerous acts of kindness and generosity touched many lives. She led her life with a loving, open heart and compassionate spirit.
