Millicent (Nacht) Bistrowitz


Peabody — Mrs. Millicent (Nacht) Bistrowitz, age 82, of Peabody, entered into rest on January 14, 2014. Beloved wife of the late William Bistrowitz.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Gertrude (Roller) Nacht.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an administrative assistant for MetLife Insurance Company. She was also a longtime employee of Jordan Marsh and Macy’s and will be remembered as the voice of the Jordan Marsh Restaurant. She was a member of the Congregation Sons of Israel, Hadassah, the Temple Sisterhood and the United Order of True Sisters.

She leaves her children, Leslie Bistrowitz and her husband, Fredric Levinson, of Framingham and Laurence Alan Bistrowitz of Peabody. She is also survived by hundreds of amazing friends. She was the sister of the late Daniel Knight and Jack Nacht.

ARRANGEMENTS: Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment following at Maple Hill Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial Observance at her late residence from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be sent to the Ellie Fund, 475 Hillside Ave., Needham, MA 02494.
