SALEM — Mr. David R. Nunez, 38 years of Salem, died suddenly in Beverly Hospital on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He is the husband of Mrs. Judith A. (Schneider) Nunez.
He was born in New York City, the son of the late Aliro Nunez and Felicia Gutierrez. He was raised in New York and Lawrence. He was a graduate of Lawrence Technical High School and a graduate of University of Massachusetts in Amherst. While at UMass, he was president of the Student Government Association, and chairperson for the Third World Caucus.
David loved and was devoted to his family and his friends. He was extraordinary and had an infectious laugh. He enjoyed history, politics and music. He loved comic books and movies. He will be missed by all who knew him. David was employed as a computer systems manager for American Student Assistance in Boston.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage, he is the loving father of Adam A. and Lilliana G. Nunez; beloved grandson of Maria Mercedes Nunez of Newburgh, N.Y.; beloved son-in-law of Barbara and Dr. David Schneider of Marblehead; beloved nephew of Genara and Roque Garcia of Orlando; loving brother of Mercedes Mendez of Virginia, Rafael Nunez of Virginia, Mark Manfred of Georgia Jennifer Martinez of Orlando, Daniel and Eli Nunez of Newburgh, N.Y. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His memorial service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn.
