BEVERLY — Virginia R. Norton, 89, wife of the late James B. Norton, Sr. of Beverly, MA, passed away Thursday, January 30, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Raised in Everett, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hayward and Mary (Sullivan) Janes. Virginia was a well known Chef on the North Shore for many years and later worked in the Assessor’s Office at Beverly City Hall. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Virginia is survived by three sons, George H. Norton of Beverly, James B. Jr. and his wife, Catherine, also of Beverly and Sean P. Norton and his wife, Eileen, of Arlington, VA; seven grandchildren, Hillary and her husband, Joseph Lacirignola, Lindsay and her husband, Zack Mzaouakk, James III, Stephen and Kate Norton, all of Beverly, Lance Corporal Ryan Norton and his wife, Brehanna, of Camp LeJeune, NC, and Molly Norton of Jessup, MD; three great-grandsons, Joseph and Jordan Lacirignola and Samir Mzaouakk; two sisters, Marion Labombard and her husband, William, of Atkinson and Joan Doyle and her husband, John, of Everett; along with many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
