Panayiota 'Pennie' Hewitt, 86


Salisbury, NH — Panayiota “Pennie” (Dresios) Hewitt, 86, of Salisbury, N.H., formerly of Salem and Lynn, died on Sunday February 2, 2014, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home, Concord, N.H. She was the wife of the late Harry Hewitt.

Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Christos and Jennie (Kollias) Dresios. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Prior to moving to New Hampshire six years ago, she had lived in Salem, Mass., for the majority of her life.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening, shopping, dining out, and day trips with her husband.

Pennie is survived by her daughter, Marlena J. Dipre and her husband, Michael, of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Alexandra and William Dipre, of Salisbury; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Georgia Lewis, Sammy, Peter, and Harry Dresios.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Saturday, at 9:30 a.m., in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Route 129, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
