Giovanna 'Jennie' (Lento) Mullen


Peabody, Ma — Mrs. Giovanna “Jennie” (Lento) Mullen, of Peabody, died on Saturday, February 1, 2014, in the North Shore Medical Center, Union Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Mullen. She was born in East Boston, the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Fiore) Lento. She was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School. She had lived in Peabody for many years.

Mrs. Mullen was employed as a clerk for Alpha Industries in Woburn for many years, and she also was a bookkeeper in the local furniture industry. Mrs. Mullen loved to cook and loved to dance.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and Kevin Mullen; a daughter, Coreen Nicholson; and her grandchildren, Peter, Timothy, Kristine, Taylor, and Shannon; and her great-grandchildren, Connor, Elsa and Ayden.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 7, at 9: a.m., from the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Route 129, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, West Peabody, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
