Danvers, MA — William (Bill) R. Hazard Jr., 84, of Danvers, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was the husband of the late June S. (Bancroft) Hazard, and son of the late Susan (Clark) Hazard and William R. Hazard Sr.
Bill was a retired tool and die maker. He was a 50-year member and Past Master of Union Lodge AF&AM, Dorchester, and was recently awarded his 50-year pin. He was also a member and past Deacon of the First Parish Church of Dorchester.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Suellen Yeaton and her husband, John, of Danvers, and Gail Gianunzio and her husband, Arthur, of Brockton; and his beloved granddaughter, Katie Yeaton.
He is also survived by his special friend and caregiver, Susan Hausner.
Bill’s family would like to thank the staff at Putnam Farms of Danvers for their assistance and friendship during his tenancy as the self-appointed "mayor" of Putnam Farms. They would also like to thank the staff at Rosewood Nursing and Rehab Center of Peabody for their support and care.
