Salem — Robert Arthur Bergeron, 65, passed away on February 7, 2014, in Salem Hospital.
Born in Salem on January 24, 1949, he was the son of the late Rita (Daley) Bergeron. Robert graduated from Salem High School in 1967.
He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged. Robert was an outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing and camping.
He is survived by six siblings, Richard Bergeron and his wife, Janice, of Salem, Ronald Bergeron of New Mexico, Raymond Bergeron and his wife, Dee, of Vermont, Rene Bergeron and his wife, Judy, of Peabody, Russell Bergeron of Haverhill, and Ruth Skomurski and her husband, Ned, of Danvers; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, February 11, in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
