Boxford — Mr. Robert Bouchard, 70, of Boxford, beloved husband of Louise (Thompson) Bouchard, died on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, with his beloved wife by his side.
Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Henry and Claudina (Gelinas) Bouchard. He was raised and educated in Middleton, and attended Salem High School.
Mr. Bouchard had been employed as a caretaker at the David Wheatland property for many years. Robert had also been employed as a steam fireman at the Danvers State Hospital power plant until the time of his retirement.
A loving husband, brother and uncle, Robert was a longtime member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club of Middleton, and had been a longtime resident of Topsfield and Boxford, and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Topsfield.
With an adventurer’s spirit at heart, Robert loved to travel often with family and friends, creating great memories over the years with remarkable vacations all over the world. Robert was a licensed private pilot, who relished taking family and friends for airborne voyages.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Louise (Thompson) Bouchard, his sisters, Carol Ring of Middleton and Simone Brissette of Ada, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irene Andrews, Roland Bouchard, Maurice Bouchard, Lucille LeFrancois, Lionel Bouchard, Paul Bouchard, Armand Bouchard, Pauline Sherba, Anita Poor, Doris Cashman, Henry Bouchard, Andrew Bouchard, and Gerard Bouchard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass, which will be held at St Rose of Lima Church, Park St., Topsfield, on Thursday, February 13, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
