Roland M. Dumas Jr., 44


Ipswich — Roland M. “Ronnie” Dumas Jr., 44, of Ipswich and formerly of Beverly, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Born in Exter, NH, and raised and educated in Beverly, he was the son of June A. (Holland) Singer and the late Roland M. Dumas Sr. Roland worked for many years for the Roland Singer Masonry Co. of Hamilton, MA, and most recently worked as a self-employed mason throughout the North Shore. Ronnie would always look forward to spending time with his family, one of his favorite times was when his family would vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, those were special times. Roland was an avid sports fan for all of the Boston sports teams, he also enjoyed cooking and grilling for family and friends at anytime and any place.

Roland is survived by his wife of four years, Nichole J. (Falanga) Dumas of Ipswich; his daughter, Jannelle K. Dumas of Salem, MA; his mother, June A. Singer and her husband, Roland, of Hamilton, MA; his two brothers, Thomas Holland of Danvers, Richard Nimblett of Danvers; his two sisters, Cynthia Akers and her husband, Robert, of CA; and Aimee Dumas of Salem; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews and many cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the First Church of Wenham, 1 Arbor St., Wenham on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
