Rachel 'Rae' Desrochers, 86


Peabody — Rachel "Rae" (Rocafort) Desrochers, 86, passed away on February 21, 2014, at Beverly Hospital. She was the loving wife of Jean E. Desrochers, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in New York City, she was raised and educated in New York, and moved to West Peabody in 1965 after her marriage to Jean, where they raised their four children. Rachel had been employed for many years as a supervisor with the former Superior Hat Leather Co. in Peabody. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and Bruins hockey.

Besides her husband, Jean, she is survived by her four children and their spouses, Julie and David Doucette of Arizona, Amy and Kevin Martin of Dracut, Carolyn and John Malski of New Hampshire, and Charles and LynnMarie Desrochers of Revere; six grandchildren; and a beloved great-grandson.
