Topsfield — Ruth A. (Arpin) Bouchard, 93, of Topsfield, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Beverly Hospital, Beverly.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Laurent A. Bouchard, who passed in 1982. Born in Salem on July 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (LeClerc) Arpin. Ruth was raised and educated in Salem. After the passing of her husband, Ruth went to work at the age of 50 for the Hunneman Real Estate Co. as a secretary, retiring after 20 years.
She was very active and a parishioner at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Topsfield, she was a member of the Topsfield Garden Club, and she loved to play the piano. One of her favorite things was just spending time with her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Ruth is survived by her son, Laurent F. Bouchard and his wife, Maria, of Danvers; her four grandchildren, Jason Bouchard and his wife, Amanda, of York, Maine, Dr. Daniel Bouchard of Michigan, Lauren Brown and her husband, Michael, of Danvers, and Matthew Bouchard of Danvers; and her five great-grandchildren, Logan, Lukas and Jayce Bouchard of York, and Max and Leo Brown of Danvers.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Thursday, March 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
