Danvers — Mrs. Virginia (Walsh) Trask of Danvers, beloved wife of William Trask, died Saturday, June 15, at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late George and Winifred (Feeney) Walsh. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1940.
As a young woman, Virginia had been employed by Sylvania Electric Products at its Boston Street and Loring Avenue plants, until the time of the birth of her son.
A communicant of St. Richard’s Parish and a longtime resident of the town of Danvers, Virginia was known for her warm and friendly personality and her dedication to her family. She and her husband and children enjoyed many summers at their home on Lake Winnipesaukee.
In addition to her beloved husband of 61 years, she is survived by her daughter, Lynda Allen and her husband, Brian of Billerica; her son, William G. Trask and his wife, Brenda of Newton; three loving grandchildren, Stephen Trask of Brooklyn, N.Y., Alex Allen of Billerica, and Amanda Allen of San Diego, Calif.; her brother, William Walsh of Peabody; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Thomas and Donald Walsh, and one sister, Shirley Hatcher.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., Route 62, Danvers, on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Richard’s Church, Forest St., Danvers, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
