Tirrell Sr. He is also survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Chris Prince, and Kati and Dan Sweeney; and his two adoring granddaughters, Abby and Emily Prince, all of Danvers. He was brother to Gretchen Mello and her husband, Joseph of Ipswich, Mass., Jack Tirrell and his wife, Karyn Zabel of Pelham, N.H., and MaryBeth Boucher and her husband Roger, of Salem, Mass. Pete owned his own business, Pete’s Appliance Repair, for over 35 years and was well known throughout the North Shore by his many loyal customers. He was longtime member of the Salem Chamber of Commerce and a member of the St. John’s Prep Alumni Association, Class of 1969.
Pete loved life. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed music and played accordion, saxophone and viola. He loved spending time remodeling his home. Gardening was his passion and he grew Topsfield Fair prize-winning marigolds. He transformed his backyard into a serene and beautiful garden in which he relaxed and entertained. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and granddaughters. He helped them with projects at their homes and attended his granddaughters’ sporting and school events. Pete was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all of us.
