Lynn, MA — Isadore H. Hincman, 97, of Lynn, Mass., died on Saturday, June 22, at the Aviv Center in Peabody. He was the husband of the late Sophie E. (Wronecki) Hincman, and father of the late Thomas John Hincman. Born on Nov. 26, 1915, in Salem, Mass., he was the son of the late Maryan and Rose (Malik) Hincman. He was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1934. He retired from the General Electric, Building 66 Turbine, in Lynn 37 years ago.
Although born and raised in Salem, Mr. Hincman had been a Lynn resident most of his life. He played football while attending Salem High on a championship team that went to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1934 to play a post-season game hosted by Will Rogers and Joe E. Brown. They played the Urban Military Academy. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Lynn, St. Michael’s PNA 630, PLAV 56, General Electric Quarter Century, and a member of the IUE Local 201. He was a Bingo caller for St. Michael’s for 20 years, past president of St. Michael’s Retirees, and was on the board of directors of St. Michael’s Association. He was also chosen in 1973 as Man of the Year for St. Michael’s.
He is survived by his daughter Joan Stocco and her husband, William S. of Peabody; grandsons, William M. Stocco of Lynn, and Matthew Hincman and his wife, Elena of Jamaica Plain; grandaughters, Vicki Cormier of Peabody, Kimberly Hincman of Wenham, Elizabeth Butler and her husband, Paul of Milford, N.H. He also leaves four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Cormier, Evan Butler and Sienna Hincman. He was the brother of the late Aloysius (Al) Hincman, Leo Hincman, Ignatius (Peg) Hincman, Frank (Franny) Hincman, and Joseph Hincman; Xavera Kable, Theresa Geratowski, Irene Hincman and Caroline Sirois.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mr. Hincman’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:30 a.m., in the Solimine, Landergan and Rishardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Route 129, Lynn. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
