Elizabeth G. "Betty" Ouellette


Danvers — Ms. Elizabeth Grace “Betty” Ouellette, age 89, of Danvers, formerly of Peabody, died peacefully on Wednesday morning surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Ethel E. (Cantin) Ouellette. She attended Peabody Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. Betty resided in Peabody for most of her life before moving to Emeritus at Cherry Hill in Danvers 6 years ago.

Prior to her retirement in 1985, she worked as a clerk for General Electric, a position she held for 42 years. She was a late member of Local #201 IUE-AFLCIO. She enjoyed being part of the bowling league at Lucky Strikes for many years. Betty will be remembered as a terrific cook who also enjoyed traveling, taking many cruises and of course her mini trips to Mohegan Sun.

Betty is survived by many loving cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Betty’s Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Monday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation prior to Mass beginning at 8:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
