Pamela Ann Wells

MA — Pamela Ann Wells, 60, of Hamilton died on Saturday, September 21st, while participating in the Granite State Wheelmen Tri-State Seacoast Century ride, a 100-mile bicycle race along the coasts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Pam was born on February 20, 1953, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to parents Richard and Ann Wells. She came to Massachusetts while still a child and graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury High School. She obtained a degree in music from Wells College in Aurora, New York. She went on to get her Masters in Library Sciences at Simmons College, and later worked for Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse in New York. They married almost exactly four years later.

In the late 80s, after managing the renovation of her South End home, she was invited to be a construction manager for Balance One Construction. She met her husband of 19 years, Tom Rogers, when she hired him for a project there.

Pam eventually returned to Simmons College to earn her MBA and returned to working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, her two old firms which had merged, where she became a CPA and started working with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She and Tom had two children, Alex and Elise.

In 2002, Pam became the financial controller at the BSO. She and her family moved from the South End in Boston to Hamilton, Massachusetts. Gardening their property there became one of Pam's great joys.

Pam's family and many friends will remember her as a strong, determined, loving, and enthusiastic woman with boundless energy and a remarkable commitment to her professional colleagues and projects and to her family.

She is survived by Tom, her children, Alex and Elise, and also by her parents, Richard W. and Ann Wells of Williamstown, Mass., and her brothers, Kim, Peter, and Ted.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Pam's life will be held at the First Church in Wenham on September 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. Please send donations in lieu of flowers with checks payable to the Alex & Elise College Fund. Mail to Salem Five Bank, 2 Bay Road, Hamilton, MA 01982.
