Arthur L. O'Keefe, 67


Lynn — Arthur L. O’Keefe, 67, of Lynn, formerly of Marblehead and Merrimac, died on October 3, 2013, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Arthur K. O’Keefe and of the late Martha Minihan.

Arthur graduated from Marblehead High School in 1965. He subsequently graduated with his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, and thereafter received his J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law. He subsequently opened his own law practice in Salem.

He is survived by his daughter, Emma K. O’Keefe Dunlea and her husband, Jonathan T. Dunlea, and their children, Elizabeth and John. He is also survived by his siblings, Norman and David Armstrong, Marie Bixby, Sandra Noone, Kathy Sevigny, and Patricia Minihan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his longtime love, Gina Lazaris and her grandchildren, Ethan and Isabella Walters. He was predeceased by his sister, Edna Smith and brother, John Minihan.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead, on Tuesday, October 8 at 10AM. Interment to follow in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Monday from 4-8PM.
