Grace G. Cola, 84


Peabody — Grace G. Cola, 84, of Peabody, died on Friday morning at her home in Peabody after a long illness.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Dal Bon) Cola. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody, and a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1946.

Grace was first employed as a hairdresser and worked for many years in Boston. She then worked an additional 20 years as a clerk at the registry of deeds in Boston, before retiring.

Grace volunteered with the Peabody Historical Society. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and attending her high school reunions.

She is survived by her childhood friend, Theresa McCarthy of Peabody; and will be dearly missed by her caregiver Melissa; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Valentino and Joseph Cola, Anita Ventura, Mary Carnera, and Josephine Neal.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
