Salem — Donald E. Dickson, 71, of Salem, died at NSMC Salem Hospital, May 17, 2014. He was the husband of Anne (MacKillop) Dickson. Don was born in Salem the son of the late Hugh and Anne (McKinnon) Dickson and had been a resident of Salem most of his life. Donald had been employed as a ground mechanic with American Airlines at Logan Airport for 33 years until his retirement 13 years ago due to illness. Don was a member of Vanguard, the American Airlines Retirees Association. Don loved boating and he also loved traveling with his loving wife, Anne.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Anne, are two brothers, Hugh Dickson and his wife, Lorraine, and Robert Dickson and his wife, Deborah, all of Beverly; two sisters, Peggy Villett and her husband, Harry of Salem, and Joan Paquin and her husband, Edgar of Peabody; nieces and nephews, Grant, Neil, Heidi, Michelle, Samantha, Amy, Christopher, Bradley, Stephen, Lance and Grant; his father-in-law, Daniel MacKillop of Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Leavitt and her husband, Bruce of Danvers, and Beth Joerger and her husband, Ken of Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Peter MacKillop and his wife, Tracy of Virginia; and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Bear.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd. Salem, Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Guest book available at www.BerubeFuneralHome.com.
