John E. Coppock, 79


Wilmington, DE — John E. Coppock died quietly in his sleep following a long illness with his family by his side. He was formerly of Ocean City, N.J.

He was born in Chester, Pa. He was one of 11 children. He graduated from Chester High School where he played varsity basketball. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He loved going to Cape May, N.J. He was a tireless worker and instilled that trait in his children. He was a man of multiple talents and a wonderful example of hard work. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his former wife and caretaker, Joyce Nolan of Wilmington, Del. He was the devoted father of Linda J. Hall (Keith) of Marblehead, Mass., John E. Jr., of Baltimore, Robert P. (Joanne) of Haverford, and Thomas C. of Newark, Del. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Funeral Service was held Thursday April 11, 2013, at the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home. Donations may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808.
