Madelyn (Thorner) Woodlock, 94, beloved wife of the late Howard Woodlock, passed away peacefully at the Doctors Hospice House in Fayetteville, GA on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 after a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Leonie (Cormier) Thorner. She grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She lived in Peabody for many years, and recently moved down to Peachtree City, GA, to live with her son.
Besides nurturing her family and creating a good home for them, Mrs. Woodlock was a secretary with several different companies. She was a mayor’s secretary for Peter Torigian before retiring from the City of Peabody.
Madelyn enjoyed quiet times, with social gatherings of friends and family at her home. She will be missed by those whom she held close.
She is survived by a son, Richard & his wife Tina Woodlock of Peachtree City, GA; a daughter, Sandra & her husband Raymond Claise of Owls Head, ME; three grandchildren, Lauraine Munson, Cheryl Briganti and Brooke Woodlock; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 9 – 10:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody.
