Margaret Luther Kurtz (Peggy), 90, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, MA, beloved wife of the late Robert R. Kurtz, died peacefully March 27, 2012, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, May 19, 1921, Peggy was the daughter of the late Ward and Florence Luther. She was employed at White Plains High School, White Plains, NY, for over twenty-five years as an administrative secretary. Upon her retirement, she moved to the North Shore of Massachusetts where she has lived for the past thirty years. She was an avid bridge player and loved to play golf, a sport she took up after her retirement and thoroughly enjoyed right through her 85th year.
She is survived by three sons, Robert and his wife Key of Ipswich, William and his wife Diane of Bethel, CT, and James and his wife Julie of Ipswich, and daughter-in-law Pam of Hilton Head, SC. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, John Kurtz, a sister Helen Marette, and a brother Ward Luther, Jr.
