Beverly — Mary Helen Smith, of Beverly, died peacefully on Monday at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. She was 71. Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Saunders) Smith.
A graduate of Salem High School, she worked at Sylvania for many years on the production line and also at Stop and Shop where she retired. Mary enjoyed traveling and the occasional game of chance at Foxwoods, but mostly enjoyed time spent with her family and close friends. A kind and caring women, she will certainly be missed by those close to her.
Mary is survived by her sister, Peggy Pszenny; her brother, John Smith; her best friend, Vangie Bouras; as well as several nieces and nephews and many great- nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Buddy Smith and sister Kathryn Ywuc.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service for Mary will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend and may visit with her family prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Central Cemetery, Beverly.
