DANVERS — Russell A. Parker, 73, passed away Saturday, December 15 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Salem, he is the son of the late Elmer and Phyllis (Grimes) Parker.
Russell grew up in Salem and Danvers, and was a graduate of Salem High School. He then attended and graduated from Saunders School in Boston. For many years, Russell worked at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers until his retirement. Russell loved spending time with his family and cat Clancy. He also enjoyed the time he got to spend with his clients at Hogan.
Surviving him are one son: Rusty R. Parker and his wife Lisa of Andover, Maine; one daughter: Kathleen Shorten and her husband Fred of Hudson, New Hampshire; one sister: Carole Parker Andrews and her husband James of Groveland; four grandchildren: Jennifer Parker Owens, Julianne Parker, Bria Shorten, Parker Shorten and Kassie Belmonte; one great grandchild: Mason Owens; along with many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Russell’s Memory to the Hogan Regional Center, 450 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923.
