Glenda E. Rice, 62 Years


Peabody — Mrs. Glenda E. (Tracy) Rice, 62 years, of Peabody, died suddenly at home on Sunday, December 16, 2012. She is the wife of Kenneth E. Rice. She was born in Ellsworth, Maine, the daughter of Mr. Ronald Tracy of Sullivan, Maine.

She was raised in Revere and was a 1967 graduate of Revere High School. She lived in Lynn most of her life and moved to Peabody in 2004. Glenda was a waitress and later a cashier at Bertini’s Restaurant in Salem for many years. To her it was more than a job, she established long lasting friendships with the Bertini family and many of the patrons who frequented the restaurant. She will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched. Glenda enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed gardening. She especially loved and was devoted to her two grandchildren , Dana and Alex.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared 42 years of marriage and her father, she is survived by her two sons, Ron Rice and his wife, Maria of Peabody and Ken Rice of Peabody; and her two grandchildren Dana and Alex of Peabody.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Thursday December 20, 2012, at 11 AM, in the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rte. 129), Lynn. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
