Swampscott, MA — John Edward Espinola Jr., 61, of Swampscott, Mass., died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Pilgrim Nursing and Rehab Center in Peabody, Mass., after a brief illness. He resided most of his life in Swampscott, Lynn, and Hamilton, before moving to Dorchester 8 years ago. Born in Lynn, Mass., he was the son of the late John Edward Espinola of Hamilton and the late Marion (Gambale) Espinola of Swampscott. He was also predeceased by his stepmother, Mary (Speliotis) Espinola of Hamilton.
Johnny was a graduate of Swampscott High School. He was an accomplished carpenter and enjoyed music, reading, and driving his pickup truck. He also enjoyed fishing and boating with his father and sharing his favorite meals and spending time with his sister, ToniMarie, and her family. He is survived by a beloved sister, ToniMarie (Espinola) Sher and her husband, Bruce, of Peabody; cousins, Rose Cotton of Swampscott and Steven Lotito of Beverly; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem, Mass., on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
