Charles W. 'Chuckie' 'Charlie' Mason Jr., 54


Peabody — Charles W. “Chuckie” “Charlie” Mason Jr., 54, of Merrimac and formerly of Peabody, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Burlington Medical Center.

Chuckie was born in Beverly, on January 20, 1959, and was the son of the late Charles W. and Stacia A. (Andruskiewicz) Mason. After losing his mother at age three, Chuckie was raised by his sister, Carol A. Cole and her husband, Gary M. Cole in Peabody. He graduated from Peabody Vocational High School in 1978, and resided in the city before moving to Merrimac in 2012.

Chuckie was employed for many years as a machinist at the family business Plus One Corporation in Peabody and at Micro Machine Co. in Salem. In 2008, he along with 19 other family members, went on a cruise to celebrate Gary and Carol’s 50th wedding anniversary. Having a special place in his heart for children, he loved to play Santa Claus at the family Christmas gathering. He also enjoyed fishing as a hobby.

In addition to Carol and Gary of Peabody, Chuckie is survived by his siblings, Gary M. Cole Jr. and David Cole both of Peabody, Christine Raymond of Manchester, N.H., and Troy Jester of Florida; his fiancée, Jody A. Richardson of Amesbury; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two siblings, Paul Dube and Leland Cole Sr.

ARRANGEMENTS: A family committal of his ashes will be held in the spring. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Chuckie’s name to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St., Peabody, MA 01960.
