Ann Quinlan, 61


Peabody — Ann (McSwiney) Quinlan, 61, of Peabody, and formerly of Beverly, beloved wife of Paul L. Quinlan, died Monday, December 17, 2013, at her home with her husband by her side.

Born in Beverly, Ann was the daughter of the late Arthur M. and June C. (Johnson ) McSwiney. She was raised and educated in Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School Class of 1970. Ann worked for many years for Verizon in the sales division in Middleton. She loved to cook, was a avid reader, and always look forward to having family and friends over for the holidays.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared 36 years of marriage, she is survived by her two brothers, Paul D. McSwiney and Myles E. McSwiney, both from Beverly; one niece, Erin E. Moore and her husband, Eric of Beverly; one nephew, Brian McSwiney of Beverly; and one brother-in-law, Martin Quinlan of Forida. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Martha McSwiney; a sister-in -law, Janet L. McSwiney; and a niece, Sarah McSwiney.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Monday, December 23, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Beverly. As requested by the family there will be no Visiting Hours.
