Aubrey C. Brine, 85


Beverly — Mr. Aubrey C. Brine passed away on Thursday, February 6, at Beverly Hospital with his daughters by his side. Born July 12, 1928, in Somerville, Massachusetts to Clifford Brine and Gladys Doane Brine, Mr. Brine was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Dawn, and brother, Clifford. A longtime resident of Beverly, Massachusetts, Mr. Brine was a collector of antiques and was passionate about maritime history and memorabilia. Mr. Brine was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, an avid gardener, lover of animals, and a lifelong member of the MSPCA and Animal Rescue League of Massachusetts.

Mr. Brine was a graduate of Northeastern University and Suffolk University Law School. A practicing Patent Attorney until age 65, his employers included United Shoe Machinery, Honeywell, Westinghouse and Black & Decker. Mr. Brine leaves behind his daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, Robert Dillon of Beverly; daughter, Beverly and son-in-law, James Noyes of Marblehead; and two grandchildren, Tucker Blagden and Margo Blagden.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private family service was held graveside at Central Cemetery in Beverly. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Brine’s name may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm or Northeast Animal Shelter. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
