Marblehead — Douglas F. Hulsman, 82, of Marblehead, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Douglas was happily married for 63 years to his late wife and soul mate Sally Hulsman.
Doug was a Police Officer for the Marblehead Police Department, where he retired his service in 1978. An honorable veteran, he served in the Navy for the duration of the Korean War. Douglas was a dedicated District Deputy Grand Master Mason Member. He devoted 52 years of service to many philanthropic lodges throughout New England.
He is survived by his children, John Hulsman of Marblehead, Bill Hulsman of California, and Linda Hartford of Bradford; four grandchildren, Jason Root, and Robert, Amy, and Kelly Hulsman; four great-grandchildren, Cade, Samantha, Jacob, and Reese Muriel. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead, on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
