Norah V. Murphy, 90


Peabody, Ma — Mrs. Norah V. Murphy, 90, formerly of Jordan Road, Peabody, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Lahey Clinic Burlington. She was born in Lynn, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Benway) Murphy. She was raised in Lynn, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She had lived in Lynn and Peabody most of her life.

Miss Murphy was employed as an accounting clerk for the former Lynn Gas and Electric Co. in Lynn. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Lynn. She was devoted to her family, and retired early to take care of her mother. She enjoyed reading. She followed New England sports and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her nephew and niece, Timothy and Anne-Therese Ouellette of Gloucester; and her grand-nephews, Dru and Vladimir Ouellette. She was the sister of the late Phyllis A. Ouellette.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Arrangements by the Solimine Funeral Home, Lynn, Mass.
