Wenham — Guy F. Alleruzzo, 87, of Wenham passed away Tuesday, November 13, at Blueberry Hill, following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Frank and Maria (Conti) Alleruzzo, and the beloved husband of the late Emily Alleruzzo.
After graduating from the Beverly Trade School, he became a career employee of the United Shoe. A gifted pattern maker, he retired from the Shoe as Foreman of the Pattern Shop, and woodworking remained a lifelong passion.
In early years he loved duck hunting with his “bird dogs” on the Salisbury marshes, and family camping at Sebago Lake. Civic minded, he volunteered often, and was an early champion for transparency in town government. Weight-lifting, golf and tennis filled his days, and he spent many happy hours at the Maples pool. Dearest to his heart were the family holidays spent together, enjoying his hand-made raviolis.
He is survived by his son, Ron and Cindy Alleruzzo; daughter, Paula and Bruce Snavely; and grandsons, Brett and Kurt Snavely.
