Robert P. Pendleton, 89


Danvers — Mr. Robert P. Pendleton, 89, beloved husband of Amelia (Acciavatti) Pendleton and the late, Eleanor (McCarthy) Pendleton, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late, Vincent and Annie M. (Walsh) Pendleton. He received his education in the Saugus school system and graduated from Saugus High School, class of 1941.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Pendleton had been employed for many years as a supervisor at the General Electric Company in its Riverwork’s and Everett Plants until the time of his retirement. He was also a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and the Vittori Rocci Post in Beverly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late, Lucille Strom, Ruth Meehan, Peg Roby, Eileen Kelley, Mary Peterson, Vincent and Joseph Pendleton.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, Monday, March 25, at 10 a.m. Visiting hour at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly location), Monday, prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
