Peabody — Elizabeth A. (Plourde) Gabrielski, 89, beloved wife of the late Alfred Gabrielski, died peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Masconomet Healthcare Facility in Topsfield after an extended illness.
Born in Salem, she grew up and was educated in Salem schools. She lived in Peabody for many years.
Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving mother and devoted grandmother who enjoyed nurturing her family and doing whatever she was able to help out others.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward Gabrielski and his wife, Daphne Firth, of Gloucester and Robert Gabrielski of Salem; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Cranney of Peabody and Debra and her husband, Richard Cushing, of Beverly; five grandchildren, Ryan Gagnon and his companion, Melissa Pelletier, of Peabody, Tara Gagnon of Peabody, Jennifer Gabrielski and her husband, David Stokes-Greene, of Columbus, Ohio, Lindsay Gabrielski of New York City, and Richard Cushing of North Hollywood, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Edward Plourde; a son-in-law, Michael Cranney.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
