Shaun P. Hayes, 68


Beverly, MA — Shaun P. Hayes 68, of Beverly, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the Beverly Hospital.

Born, raised and educated in Beverly, he was the son of the late Donald J. and Anita (Ventura) Hayes. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College and attended the University of New Hampshire graduate school.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Army.

Shaun was currently employed at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers where he had worked for many years. He also enjoyed freelancing as a disc jockey.

A lifelong resident of Beverly, he was a member of the Peace & Justice Committee in Beverly.

Shaun is survived by his sister, Ellen M. Hayes of Norwood, and many dear friends and co-workers.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Beverly, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hour at the Campbell–Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, Wednesday morning prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial in the North Beverly Cemetery.
