Dr. John J. Bucchiere, Jr., 74 years, died on Friday afternoon at the Union Hospital in Lynn. He was the husband of the late Julia B. (Gondek) Bucchiere.
Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late John J. and Louise Caroline (Davidson) Bucchiere. A graduate of Brown University in 1958, Dr. Bucchiere received his medical school degree from New York Medical College in 1962, served a two-year internship at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut and an additional year there as a surgical resident. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1964—1966, Valdosta, GA. He served his full residency at the Mayo Clinic from 1966 to 1970. Dr. Bucchiere opened up his private practice as an urologist in 1970, Associates in Urology, he was most noted for his license plate NOP-CME. A resident of Topsfield since 1973, his personal hobbies and interests included gardening, cooking, astronomy and photography.
He is survived by three children; Alisa Helene Bucchiere of Topsfield, John J. Bucchiere III & his wife Darcy of Middleton, Robyn L.Carlson & her husband Dan of Northport, Long Island, two brothers; Andrew R. Bucchiere of CA, Steven A. Bucchiere of FL, one sister; Louise C. Bucchiere of Saugus. He was the grandfather of Andrew J. Carlson, John J. Bucchiere IV, Kaitlin L. Carlson, Cameron T. Bucchiere and Reagan Julia Carlson. Dr. Bucchiere was the brother of the late Thomas M. Bucchiere.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will be held in St. Rose of Lima Church, 12 Park St., Topsfield, on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by burial with military honors in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
