Danvers — Bruce R. Pappas, 57, formerly of Salem, died at Kaplan Family Hospice House on Sunday, March 30, 2014, following a brief illness.
He was born and raised in Salem, and was the son of the late Stephen and Frances (Salvo) Pappas.
Bruce loved his music. He was a friend to many, and he was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by four brothers, Stephen Pappas of Tewksbury, Robert Pappas of Haverhill, Charles Pappas of Rochester, N.H.,, and Tony Salvo of Texas; five sisters, Janice Murphy of Ipswich, Kathleen Mahoney of Peabody, Sharon Sheldon of Lynn, Joan Curran of New Hampshire, and Jean Bacigalupo of Greeenfield.
He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Maneiro; and brother, Dominic Pappas.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 9:15 a.m., from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., corner of North St., Salem, to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. James Church, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
