Kenneth F. Morris, 63


Beverly — Mr. Kenneth F. Morris, 63, beloved husband of Christie L. (Preston) Morris, died Monday morning, March 11, 2013, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late Robert and Virginia (Williams) Morris. He graduated from Beverly High School, Class of 1968 and earned his degree from Nichols College in Dudley.

Mr. Morris had been employed as a sporting goods representative for the past twenty five years until the time of his retirement. Prior to that, he had worked as a department manager at Herman’s World of Sporting Goods, O’Brien Plumbing Shop and as a recruiter at Nichols College. A lifelong resident of Beverly, he was an active member of the Union Club in Beverly and had a passion for golf, hockey and spending time at West Beach.

In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage, he is survived by one son Derek Morris of Beverly; one brother Bruce Morris and his wife Dawn of Beverly Farms; one siste rNancy Grant and her husband Robert of Glen, N.H.; a cousin Donald MacQuarrie of Beverly; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Nimblett and her husband Fran of Beverly and Cheryl Slocum and her husband Peter of California; nephews, Patrick Morris and Matthew Slocum; nieces, Meghan and Erin Slocum.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held privately for the family. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at the Franco-American Club, 44 Park St., Beverly, Saturday, March 16, at 11 a.m., to which relatives and friends are invited. Arrangements by the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
