MIDDLETON — Mrs. Frances M. (O'Neill) Porter, 73, of Middleton, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Mary (Curtin) O'Neill. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
Mrs. Porter had been employed as an accountant for the Spar & Spindle Girl Scout Council in North Andover, at the time of her retirement. She had previously been employed at the former Ann & Hope Department Store at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers.
For the past 43 years, Frances was a resident of the Town of Middleton and enjoyed crafts and the art of painting. She was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her two sons, Chester L. Porter, III and his wife Nancy J. of Durham, N.H., and Michael J. Porter of Middleton; two grandchildren, Zachary and Mackenzie Porter; two sisters, Lillian "Betty" Chambers and her husband Charles of Lynn and Dorothy Monahan of Hampstead, N.H.; sister-in-law, Jane O'Neill of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Daniel Frank O'Neill.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62) Danvers, Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
