Peabody — R. Teresa Leveille, 90, a lifelong resident of Peabody, beloved wife of the late Carlton Leveille, passed peacefully into God’s care on February 19, 2014, at Brooksby Village.
Teresa was born in Salem, on October 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Francis and Annie (Czosmyka) Witwicki and resided in Peabody for most of her life.
Teresa was employed for many years by Filene’s in their children’s department at the Northshore Mall. She and Carl were inseparable and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. They loved their Saturday evenings spent together dancing at the Knights of Columbus in Nahant.
She is survived by her sisters, Laura Regis and her husband, Joseph, and Nellie Danish; her nieces and nephews, Claudette Poor, Robert Danish, David Danish, John Danish, Susan Regis, James Regis and Lori Regis. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Cote Goodridge. Teresa was affectionately known as “Aunt Raffy“ to three generations.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Teresa’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon at St. Ann Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Her burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
