Allan H. Jung, 76


Beverly — Allan H. Jung, 76, beloved husband of Brenda (Crosby) Jung, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at his home while in the comforting presence of his family.

Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Herman and Ethel (Knowlton) Jung. He grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1954.

Mr. Jung enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Dusseldorf, Germany, for three years. Mr. Jung was a chemical worker with Morton Thiokol in Danvers for many years before retiring 11 years ago.

Allan lived his life with simplicity, and was very devoted and dedicated to his family. He enjoyed hobbies of gardening, landscaping, and carpentry. He was a member of the New England Wild Flower Society, the Franco-American Club of Beverly, and the Vittori-Rocci Post in Beverly.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Crosby) Jung of Beverly with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; a son, Allan W. Jung and his partner, Christopher Spencer of Worcester; two daughters, Anita and her husband, Patrick Runne and Heidi and her husband, John Mondano all of Beverly; two grandchildren, Christopher Ganey and Laurie Grande both of Beverly; a sister, Louise O’Brien of Maine, and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private family funeral service was held on Friday at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home in Peabody and burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
