Lucie M. (Morin) Kosek, 82

Salem — Mrs. Lucie M. (Morin) Kosek, 82, of Salem, beloved wife of Walter T. Kosek of Salem, died following a brief illness, December 24th, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Amelia “Mary” (Gauthier) Morin. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem High School.

Lucie began her professional life at a young age to help her family at the former Salem Laundry Company and the former Pequot Mills in Salem. She then matriculated to Jerry’s Army and Navy Store where she had been employed for over thirty years until the time of her retirement.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lucie enjoyed being “Mom” and taking care of her family in any way possible. She was an excellent cook who loved to play Bingo and especially enjoyed spending her time with family and friends beaching at the Salem Willows. She was profoundly loved and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her loving husband of 63 years, Lucie is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Fritz & her husband John E. of Salem and Darlene Palazzi of Salem, her grandchildren, Adam Fritz, Patrick Kealy and Jack Sullivan, her great-grandson, Cole Healey, her sisters, Peggy O’Donnell, Anita Marciano, Doris Driscoll, Rita Tries and Linda Morin, her brothers, Philip Morin, Robert Morin and Daniel Morin and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Paula Kealy, grandmother of the late Christine Kealy and sister of the late Leon Morin Jr., Michael Morin and Patrick Morin.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from The O’Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq. (At Salem Common), Salem, Saturday at 9 A.M. Followed by her funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Salem/Peabody Line, at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 7 P.M.
